SimplyConvert: On Tuesday, law firm-client communication platform SimplyConvert announced the launch of CaseHQ, a new client portal and mobile app meant to facilitate client-counsel collaboration throughout the life cycle of a case. The new portal will include features such as mobile app and push notifications for updates and reminders, e-signature integration, data messaging between legal teams and clients, and more.
CARET: On Thursday, legal practice management platform CARET Legal announced the launch of CARET Analytics. The new feature will transform various data points into interactive dashboards for small and midsized law firms to work off of. CARET Analytics also lets users generate custom reports, monitor aging accounts receivable and accounts payable, glean analysis of billed and collected data, and more, in an effort to streamline cashflow management, according to a news release.
DISCO: On Tuesday, e-discovery provider DISCO, announced that Joe Jacobson would be joining the company as its new senior vice president of operations. In his new role, Jacobson will lead business operations, revenue operations, support and enablement and business intelligence and go-to-market operations. Jacobson brings with him more than two decades of experience in SaaS sectors, most recently as vice president of revenue strategy, operations and transformation at expense management platform Brex. Before that, Jacobson worked at SAP Concur.
Exterro: On Tuesday, data risk management software solutions provider Exterro announced that a request management module has been integrated into the company's platform. The new module is meant to help legal professionals automate e-discovery workflows at law firms, alternative legal service providers, and in-house teams. The module will include configurable templates for teams to track and execute on collection, matter intake, preservation requests, data processing, legal holds, and real-time dashboards to help monitor progress, according to a news release. Additionally, Exterro will roll out updates and new features throughout 2024 and 2025, including a Slack Viewer, new application programming interfaces, updates to its artificial intelligence tool Exterro Assist, and more, according to a news release.
Filevine/Proof Technologies: On Monday, legal practice management platform Filevine and e-filing technology platform Proof Technologies announced a new integration at the LEX Summit 2024. The integration is meant to help law firm customers serve legal documents in the U.S. using their Filevine case information by selecting the documents to be served, along with the individuals or companies to be served, from the relevant project. The signed affidavits of service and invoice for each job will be available in the Filevine project, and the invoice amount is automatically added to the client's bill or case by leveraging Proof's process-serving technology, according to a news release.
Proxy PR: On Monday, legal marketing agency Proxy PR announced that the company had rebranded as The Proxy Agency. The rebrand is meant to reflect Proxy's growth and expansion as a full-service marketing agency, according to a news release. The Proxy Agency will continue to offer chief marketing officer expertise as the legal industry changes into a more business-oriented vertical, according to the release.
Relativity: On Tuesday, e-discovery provider Relativity announced that is has renewed its $250,000 grant investment to Children First Fund, a Chicago public schools foundation. The company also reinforced its continued programmatic support for Corliss Early College STEM High School. "As a company founded and based in Chicago, Relativity is uniquely positioned to nurture the city's future talent. We believe that the transformative power of education contributes to the betterment of the city and its people, and we hope to create a lasting impact that extends beyond the walls of Relativity," said Phil Saunders, CEO at Relativity in a news release. To set up legal and technology career pathways across the Chicago school district, Relativity will also help fund 10 postsecondary education scholarships, STEM programming, and student transportation to STEM field trips and university visits, according to the release.
Reveal: On Thursday, e-discovery provider Reveal announced a partnership with investigations and compliance platform AlixPartners. Under the terms of the alliance, AlixPartners will have unlimited access to the Reveal platform and its product suite. In turn, Reveal will receive technical insights from AlixPartners. "By eliminating financial and user knowledge barriers, this partnership allows users to fully harness the power of Reveal's technology. The traditional commercial limitations inherent in current pricing models are unsustainable, restricting users from utilizing only a fraction of the available technology," said Wendell Jisa, founder and CEO of Reveal in a news release.
Zuva Analyze: On Thursday, Toronto-based contract analysis platform Zuva Analyze, which spun off from contracts review software provider Kira Systems in 2021, announced the launch of its AI contract review tool. Zuva Analyze is targeted to in-house contract management teams, and, like Zuva's offerings, can be accessed on a pay-per-project or subscription basis, according to a news release.
